WAKE UP BBMP

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT: A few weeks after the Abhishek incident, Karnataka CM B.S.Yedyurappa sacked the BBMP Chairman Mr. Subramanya and revamped the BBMP so that it can run smoothly to better serve the needs of Bangaloreans. He appointed Mr. B.L.Meena as the new commissioner and he's been making all the right noises so far. As responsible citizens, we must give Mr. Meena an opportunity to deliver and support him in his endeavors. I thank all the signatories of the online petition and the paper petition; our agitation has resulted in change and we must now continue to watch the activities of BBMP in a vigilant manner to communicate to them any other lapses. As responsible citizens we must also do our part to keep Bangalore clean.

We the citizens of Bangalore are infuriated and angered with the incompetent, unreliable and unprofessional nature Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike or BBMP. This organization has shown time and again that they lack accountability, professionalism and have mastered the art of passing on responsibility to others. Rains and monsoons in Bangalore have occurred before and the BBMP should have learnt from the past to equip themselves for emergency search and rescue operations.

We demand that the primary person responsible for this monumental lapse which resulted in the loss of a 6 year old Abhishek be held responsible. The citizens of Bangalore are angry, restless and demand justice.
