Dear Gaming Community,

Its time to boycott www.GameTrailers.com. GameTrailers has a long history of anti-PS3 bias that is well known. Their blatant sabotaging of PS3 videos by running them at lower resolutions compared to Xbox 360 videos as well as interchanging bad Xbox 360 videos with those of better looking PS3 ones is misrepresentation of facts plain and simple. This along with their commentary which said Xbox 360 is better than PS3 because 360 has a better controller and being exceptionally critical in reviewing PS3 games shows us the clear bias against Sony's gaming console.

Nothing is more truer about the last point than GT's review of Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2. GT gave Uncharted 2 an overall score of 9.3. First off, the review completely spoiled the game's storyline, so I recommend not to watch it if you're planning on buying the game anytime in the future. Secondly, the main criticism of the game is that it is not original enough to merit a 9.5 score. This petition would like to know the originality scale GameTrailers is using. Is it a personal whim, or is it defined in books? Gears of War 2 is exactly like Gears of War 1, but with better graphics, greater environments, a horde mode and chainsaw dueling. Yet, Gears of War 2 receives 9.5. Lets expand on this.

Uncharted 2 receives a rating of 8.9 in presentation because it is considered unoriginal, while Gears of War 2 receives 9.8 (!) for essentially redoing the exact same game but with bigger weapons and maps. Why was the shorter end of the originality scale applied to GeOW2, while the higher end applied to Uncharted 2? The same case can be made for Halo 3. Isn't the inclusion of a fully designed multiplayer section of Uncharted 2 with its unique online modes considered original?

In fact, the same case can be made for majority of games out there in the market. Its how you apply the originality stick to them that defines how biased you are. This petition is for calling a boycott of GameTrailers because of issues presented. The demands of this Boycott petition are as follows to www.GameTrailers.com

1) Apologize to the gaming community for misrepresentation of facts by interchanging Xbox 360 and PS3 videos

2) Apologize to the gaming community for sabotaging PS3 videos by showing them at compressed scale

3) Explain their originality scale as a company tool.

4) Explain the difference between Uncharted 2, Gears of War 2 and Halo 3 when it comes to pushing originality.

5) Explain why Uncharted 2's online mode is unoriginal, despite the fact that the first one didn't have one.

I have to point out that GT review mentions that there are slight control issues in Uncharted 2 that occur very seldom. This petition will not argue that point since it is a legitimate concern. Any other points related to the gaming design (AI, controls, glitches, etc) will not be argued.
