We, the Battlefield 2 Community, would be very happy if Dice would release one or two new maps for vanilla BF2 in the next update (Patch 1.3).
Up to now, new content could only be recieved by cash, that means buying the Add-On "Special Forces" or the so called "Boosterpacks", which are highly disputed in the community. But not everyone can afford the expenditures, and there is also a problem with the availability of the Boosterpacks, since you need to download them, and for this you need to have a creditcard. And some People got the experience that there are too few shops that sell it as well.
But BF does not bind on eternal, everyone knows the maps like he'd mapped them by himself. And differently like good wine games don't get better with the time. We all long for new, free content in form of new maps or even new unlocks, whereby new maps would naturally please us at most. You could even test some of the most popular custom maps (some of them are really good), if they are good enough to get a "Dice-Seal of approval" and become ranked maps.
Please, dear coworkers of Digital Illusions, supply us, the players, that love your game so much, with one, or two new (ranked-fit) maps within the release of the new patch. The community would be pleased and give a big credit to you! Thanks!
