PROPOSED MIDDLESBROUGH F.C. UEFA CUP VICTORY PARADE

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE MOVE THE PROPOSED VICTORY PARADE TO A MORE SENSIBLE AND PRACTICAL DATE.

Reports in tonight's Evening Gazette (5th May 2006) indicate that there are proposals in place for a Victory Parade for Middlesbrough FC (if they should emerge victorious) on Thursday 11th May 2006, the day AFTER the final.

We think this is nothing short of madness. There will be many fans either making their way back from Holland or still there. There will be many fans at work, and possibly children at school. Do we really want to encourage truancy?

To enable as many people as possible to participate, we think this should be held on Saturday or Sunday.
