We the Undersigned,
Request the support of the Rt Honourable Ben Bradshaw as the secretary of Culture, Media and Sport to ensure that the Amateur Boxing Association of England rule book (2009 rule book page 54 point 6) is changed to allow all persons practicing both Sikh and Muslim religion to be allowed to compete provided that his facial hair is contained within a thin black net.
The rule giving dispensation for one religious community and the Amateur International Boxing Association recommending that a complete ban on all boxers with beards goes against our countries social & religious cohesion and equity policies, not to mention that this is a complete disregard to the Equality Act 2006 and falls into Direct and Indirect discrimination.
We thank you in advance for your attention to this important request, and we look forward to yourself representing us on this important issue.
