To the families of 911 victims:
For more than two years members of 9-11 Families for a Secure America (9-11 FSA) have been working to make changes to secure our borders. Last year 9-11 FSA members spent many days in Washington working for passage of the 9-11 Commission Recommendations Act. We were in support of the House Bill which included provisions to keep terrorists out our country and prevent them from getting US drivers' licenses.
Our efforts failed since the Senate Bill, which passed, did not include these reforms. We did get a promise that these important national security issues would be revisited in the 109th Congress. Now it's time to see if the promise will be kept. 9-11 FSA members will be going back to Washington to insist that legislation pertaining to these vital issues be passed. We need your support in our efforts to fight terrorism. By answering the few questions below you can help us win in Washington.
Mohammed Atta and the other 9/11 terrorists had authentic US drivers' licenses which enabled them to board the planes they used to kill our loved ones. Every week, thousands of people whose identities are unknown cross into the US illegally. Among these are unknown terrorists. In Maine, North Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, New Mexico and other states, illegal aliens, including the unknown terrorists among them can get drivers' licenses.
Sincerely,
