Save Barmulloch Primary School |
To: Glasgow City CouncilIn November 2008, the Scottish Government’s education inspectors commended the great improvements made within Barmulloch Primary School. One of the only poor aspects of that report was that the school building needs improvement.
Glasgow City Council proposes to move Barmulloch Primary School to the site of St Gilbert’s Primary School in Germiston, some 0.7 mile away down a road with no public transport, a building site on one side and the demolition of the Red Road flats on the other.
We believe that Barmulloch deserves better than this. We believe that primary school provision in the North of Glasgow has to be reviewed and call for Glasgow City Council to produce a vision for primary schools in our area for the next generation. Save Barmulloch Primary School!
Sincerely,
