To date, we have not been made aware of any official plan to erect a separate and unique Memorial or Monument to the firefighters who died on Sept 11, 2001. At a time when the nation was reeling, the firefighters of NYC gave the nation a feeling of pride, strength and hope. Now it is time to show the families of the heroes as well as their fellow firefighers that we appreciate the sacrifices that were made.
