Legalizing Ferrets In California

To:  The Californian Government

The residents of California have been battling the battle to legalize ferrets in California throughout many years in the past. Denying the right to the Californian residents of owning a ferret as a pet is injustice. The reason being towards this injustice law is because of the fear of overpopulating the state and having an affect on California’s agriculture and wildlife. This notion is fabricated as there are no reports of wild populations of ferrets in the 48 states that allow ferrets as legal pets. Domesticated ferrets cannot survive outside their home for more than a few days because they will be killed by a predator or will starve to death. We, the undersigned, believe it is time to allow Californians the right to own ferrets as pets. California has nothing to loose and ferret owners have plenty to gain by overthrowing the banning of ferrets. Don’t make criminals out of pet owners!
