We, the undersigned , endorse/ recommend( request for consideration) Dr. Kiran Bedi for the appointment of the next Chief Central Information Commissioner.

The various surveys have established the fact that PIOs are not taking the RTI Act seriously and less than 27\% applicants got the sought for information. In a discussion on Lok Sabha TV Channel, Ex-CIC Hon’ble Mr. Wazahat revealed that only in 0.6\% cases PIOs have been penalized. Until unless PIOs have some fear of penalty and strict disciplinary action, the RTI Act will not be effective. It is the need of the time and country that a respectable, honest, strict and well disciplined person be appointed as next CIC, who can empower and implement the act in true sense. Keeping in mind the previous record of Dr. Kiran Bedi, we believe she is the right person for this post.
