Since 2001 Superman fans had the priviledge on following Clark Kent on a journey. Yes, his journey to become the man of steal "Superman". We bought the comic books, subscribed to the magazines, we bought the DVDs and now Blu-Rays and posters, etc. For what? Because we knew he would become Superman eventually. Tom Welling is a fantastic actor and he has slowly but surely molded his character Clark Kent into a borderline Superman. But until he wears the suit (or a modified version of it, with the S-shield/crest) he wont really be Superman. We were appalled recently when one of the producers of the show was interviewed and he said that Tom might not be able to wear the suit because it may conflict with the movie franchise. What movie franchise? It is on hold for the time being, so this was a stab to all Smallville/Superman fans. We could not believe what we where reading. What a betrayal from all those involved in making the show and movies. They have mocked us for 8 years for that he will never be Superman. Now, unless he will be Superman in the next Superman movie (wich this is in another petition already), Tom Welling should be allowed to wear the suit or S-shield/crest on his chest.
