Experian's Deceptive Date Practices and their impact on Fico Scores. |
To: Federal Trade CommissionCongress has given us the right to dispute inaccurate information in our reports. Consumers should be able to exercise this right without being afraid of Experian updating the status date, corrupting the actual data, dropping their FICO scores, and being stuck with the new erroneous reporting because Experian refuses to report accurately when investigating a tradeline. When a consumer disputes information on an old tradeline, Experian claims to verify and makes the account look recent. Thereby, punishing and retaliating against the consumer for disputing erroneous tradelines. These are clear and indisputable acts by Experian and are a violation of consumer credit rights. Experian needs to disclose the Commencement of Delinquency date so that a tradelines true age can be ascertained by a) the consumer b) a lender and c) FairIsaac so that you are getting a true, accurate score. By signing this petition I am in complete agreement with the above statements and I am asking the matter to be investigated immediately.
Sincerely,
The Experian's Deceptive Date Practices and their impact on Fico Scores. Petition to Federal Trade Commission was created by and written by Heather Houston (houstonphoto@netzero.net).
