Give Corfu Donkey Rescue more time to relocate

On 7th July, the Mayor of Paleokastritsa informed us that the Corfu Donkey Rescue is going to be ‘sealed’ within 20 days and 40 donkeys are going to be thrown out. It is the job of the local authorities to collect abandoned donkeys but they never did their job. CDR has been doing it for 5 years with no help or backing from anybody.

Now the shelter is threatened with closure. The shelter is within months of purchasing new land, we need planning permission and licenses from the Dimos (local municipality).

Please sign below if you believe we should be given the time it takes to complete purchase and fence and build shelters on a new piece of land and that the Dimos should help us with the licenses.
