Just Say NO to DAM Fees!

Sabre/Travelocity wants their suppliers to pay fees to show their rich media in an effort to subsidize the cost of their new DAM (Digital Asset Management) platform. On October 31, 2008, Sabre/Travelocity is requesting all suppliers who want their rich media on Travelocity, to pay VFM, the third party hired by Sabre/Travelocity to build and manage their DAM. Sabre/Travelocity expects each hotel to pay $300 a year per hotel to show their virtual tours and $600 per year to show their video.

Sabre/Travelocity has already let one notable hotel group ride for free, so our position is that NO hotel should pay, and if Sabre/Travelocity wants hotels rich media, they should absorb that cost, not pass it along to same hotels already paying booking commissions. We feel that suppliers should not have to pay to subsidize Sabre/Travelocity technology! This petition is to let the suppliers voices be heard and to Just Say NO to DAM Fees!
