Help get Darrell "Dimebag" Abbott a statue in Dallas, TX

This is for one of the most influential guitar players, in not just metal music, but in the music scene in general. Darrell “Dimebag” Abbott was a guitar player, along side his brother Vinnie Paul who played drums, for Pantera (and then later on for Damage Plan). Darrell died in 2004 on stage at one of his shows with his new band Damage Plan. He was shot on stage in front of a crowd of his own fans. This is an attempt to pay our respect to Darrell by getting him a statue in Dallas.

Darrell loved his fans more than anything in the world and would have done anything for them. So we all, the undersigned, are getting together to get a memorial for Darrell in Dallas along with a life size statue of him. Darrell does have a gravesite in his home town of Arlington, TX but that is mainly for his family. A memorial site along with a life size statue will be a good place for all fans of Darrell to go and pay there respects. This statue will also help keep Darrell’s name, music, and legacy alive forever.

Due to the tragic events of his death and the amazing person that he was we all, the undersigned, believe Darrell “Dimebag” Abbott deserves this statue.
