East Coast JRock Convention

To:  Potential Sponsors of ECJC

With the start of a Japanese rock convention in California, the ECJC staff have become determined to provide the East Coast with its own Japanese rock convention. We aspire to give existing Japanese rock fans the opportunity to see some of their favourite bands live, as well as reach a new, potential group of fans while providing everyone with a weekend of entertainment. We also wish to give North American-based Visual Kei/Japanese rock-inspired bands the chance to attend a convention at which they can perform.

Japanese rock bands have graced North American anime conventions for a few years now. Bands such as Psycho le Cemu, DuelJewel, BLOOD, Camino, T.M. Revolution, and Phantasmagoria have all either attended anime conventions as musical guests or guests of honour. Despite this, they are always seen as a “bonus.“ Many Japanese rock fans attend these anime conventions to see those bands; they spend their hard-earned money attending a convention they may not attend had a specific band not been snagged as a guest.

…Isn’t it about time these Japanese bands had their own conventions here in the States?

The ECJC staff aim to aid in the spreading of Japanese rock across the Nation and hope that we, in turn, help other Japanese rock conventions pop up everywhere in North America.
