We, the enthusiastic fans of Edna Purviance and admirers of the work done by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, strongly believe that Edna deserves a place on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her lasting contributions to cinema. To this day, people of all ages, especially high school and college-aged people, are moved by her presence in films such as "The Bond" (1918), "Shoulder Arms" (1918), "The Kid" (1921), and "A Woman of Paris" (1923). In more films than any other actress, Charlie Chaplin chose her to be his leading lady in dozens of pictures.
By signing this petition, the undersigned are informing the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which administrates the Hollywood Walk of Fame, of the lasting impact Edna Purviance has had on generations of fans. A stroll down the Walk of Fame feels somewhat empty without her presence.
