El Rey live DVD (2003)

As all VR fans know, Velvet Revolver performed their first and only (2003) concert on June 19, 2003 at the El Rey Theatre, the band played a set of six songs: Bodies (The Sex Pistols cover), Set Me Free (the first VR song!), It's So Easy (GN'R cover), Sex Type Thing (STP cover), Slither (at the time unreleased, the first VR single!), Negative Creep (Nirvana cover).

Well, we know there is a DVD of that concert because Velvet Revolver planned to release it in October 2003 through Immortal Records. Unfortunately, the VR management and the label scrapped the DVD because the band concentrated on "Contraband" album, it was the official statement.

Now the album "Contraband" has sold over two milions of copies in USA (certified double-platinum) and the band has finished the world tour for it, therefore Velvet Revolver and RCA Records could release that fuckin' live DVD.

If you love (like me) the El Rey show in 2003 and you're a VR fan, sign the petition to release the El Rey DVD, it's an awesome concert!
