RELEASE ENOS ON DVD - AND OR RUN ON TVLAND

In 1978 Sonny Shroyer was cast to create the character of "Enos," the big-grinned, bumbling, dipstick deputy of The Dukes of Hazzard television series, which ran from 1979 - 1985.

His popularity on the show prompted Warner Brothers and CBS to spin him off into his own series, called Enos. The show premiered as a two hour pilot November 12, 1980 then ran 17 more episodes to it's finale on May 21, 1981.

During the one season run the show was nominated for a "Peoples Choice" award - and another one nominated for Sonny as "Favorite Male Performer in a New Television Program."

Enos was also the guest starring stepping stone to many up and coming, then and now famous faces... such as L.Q. Jones, Jane Merrow, Jay Leno and Michelle Pfeiffer just to name a few.

After the series was canceled Sonny returned to Hazzard County to reprise his role as Enos on The Dukes of Hazzard until the show's end in 1985.
