Fire Tom Collins

To:  Ball State University Board of Trustees

We the students, alumni, boosters, supporters, faculty and fans of Ball State University athletics feel that Tom Collins is unfit to remain in his position as Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. His decision-making has been questionable at best and at worst it has been harmful to the University. His decisions made during his tenure have led to the loss of prestige among some of Ball State's finest sports.

He had fired several loyal and long term coaches under questionable pretenses, and refused to expand on those actions.

His hiring record is spotty at best, and in some cases sports that previously had long term success have failed to even achieve winning seasons.

The brash, under researched hiring of Ronny Thompson, Dave Boos and Stan Parrish have been, in a word, disastrous.

There are constant questions about his control over the athletics department and his ability to lead.

As such we feel that it would be in the best interest of the University to remove him from this position, effective immediately.
