Bring More Japanese Language Classes to Central Florida

To:  Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures

Currently, there is an extreme lack of Japanese language courses in Central Florida, especially in community colleges. Administrators are currently looking into the possibility of offering Japanese language courses in community colleges, but are hesitant due to the lack of knowlege of whether or not there is a demand for it.

This petition is to show the level of interest in Japanese languages courses in the Central Florida area. This petition will be delivered to the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures of the University of Central Florida, as well as other local colleges such as Valencia Community College and Seminole Community College.

This petition has three goals:
1. To show there IS demand for more Japanese language courses to be offered to Central Florida Students.
2. To show which schools have the most demand for these courses.
3. To show how often students would like to see these courses offered.
