Whereas New York State is a home-rule state where most development decisions are made at the local level,
I hereby petition municipal officials in Ulster County to learn about housing needs in their jurisdictions, to understand the tools available for addressing those needs and to act within the full scope of their powers to accomplish a healthy housing mix in Ulster Countys municipalities.
