End Guiseley Music Festival

To:  The Landlord and Landlady of The Station Pub, Guiseley

We urge the landlord and landlady of The Station Pub Guiseley to put an immediate end to all outdoor live music events. For the last three Bank Holidays local residents have been subjected to excessive noise pollution from amateur rock music, from 11am to midnight, seriously disturbing children and the elderly alike.

If the landlord and landlady of The Station are keen to demonstrate their support for amateur music AND show consideration for the local community, then we suggest they invest a portion of their profits in holding future events at greenfield sites well away from town.

By signing this petition, we are also indicating we have individually contacted Leeds Environmental Health, requesting they monitor any future events, recognising that they have the power to impose fines of up to £20,000 if noise pollution is found to exceed statutory decibel levels or durations.

We also reserve the right to bring civil action against The Station Pub if any further noise pollution occurs, with retrospective claims for past events.

Until the management at The Station Pub is prepared to show consideration for the local community, we will be boycotting the premises and encouraging others to also place their business elsewhere.
