END the X-Games Ban on Chris Gentry |
To: Action Sports ViewersChris Gentry has been banned from Competition at the X-Games for speaking out on behalf of the Riders. This petiton is to show ESPN that the X-Games viewers want to see Chris compete again and would like to see ESPN Lift their Ban on him.
Gentry Bio
Chris Gentry has been competing as a vert skateboarder since 1987 and is currently ranked in the elite top 5 of his discipline. He has been a leading figure in the action sports world over the last 10 years, viewed by millions in skateboard magazines, featured on NBC, ABC, ESPN, MTV, VH-1, FOX54321, FUEL TV, and skateboard contests around the world. Gentry was also featured in MTV’s 2002 Sports and Music Festival featuring the top vert skaters in the world with the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Puddle Of Mudd, and Ludacris performing.
Born in Houston, Chris started building his own ramps at 8 years old and soon became one of the top skaters in the state winning amateur competitions. In late 1991 Chris turned pro and toured on a 14 country European tour 1991,then the MTV Sports and Music Festival 1992, and the Lollapalooza tour 1992. Chris can usually found training at the Block, Volcom Park, any where a Spohnranch Ramp or Dagger ramp or Team Pain ramp is set up. He’s also on the “Matt Hoffmans Crazy Freakin Stunt Show” in Orlando, FL. at Universal 150 shows a year.
No doubt a great skateboarder, he is also a talented rapper. Chris Gentry is also known on the rider circuit for his albums Gentry & Mr. Kane “GANGSTAROCK” and his latest realease “SAYZ WHO”. With songs titled “Skaters Union” and “Riders Meeting”, he sheds light on the frustrations of action sports athletes. Chris is the founder of PRO (Pro Riders Organization). the organization for the riders by the riders and He now resides in Houston, TX. and Costa Mesa ,CA.
