Husky Acceptance Tax

To:  Connecticut State Legislature

This petition is to enact a law which will create a new tax on all medical and dental practices operating within the state of Connecticut in the country of the United States of America who refuse new or existing patients who use a state medical or dental health insurance plan.

Under this law all medical and dental practices that refuse HUSKY insurance or any subsidiary plan thereof must pay a flat tax in the amount of $70,000 per year per licensed practitioner for the luxury of refusing state run health insurance.

We request that the following law be introduced and passed:

“All medical and dental practices within the State of Connecticut shall be required to pay a tax of $70,000 per year for each licensed practitioner operating within their practice if they refuse to accept a state sponsored health plan such as HUSKY, BeneCare, Community Health Network or any other insurance plan that is governed by the HUSKY Program”
