Keep Emma Frost An X-Man!

This is a statement for all of the fans of Marvel comics, more so fans of the X-Men comic titles and in particular, the character of Emma Frost.

Recently in the title Astonishing X-Men, we have come under the light that Emma has been up to something, drawing suspicion, and in issue 12, we found out just what that something is; Emma Frost is a mole for the Hellfire Club where her loyalties have always remained.

It has been inferred that Emma never loved Scott Summers aka Cyclops, and that she is anxious to leave the X-Mansion.

In doing so, the writer of this title, Joss Whedon, has completely and utterly destroyed years of character growth and the stories created by other writers. And why?

Ego. This writer has made it no secret that he loves the 80's superhero runs, and it's obvious that he wants a return to it by converting Emma Frost back to her Hellfire Club villian status, thus hurting and disappointing millions of X-Men fans.

Why would they do this? One word...money. Joss Whedon is an accalimed author of the X-Men titles and thus, Marvel will let him do absolutely anything he wants, even if it hurts their own fans.

That is why this petition has been created. To let Marvel know that this time their ignorance will not be tolerated...that their ignoring of what WE want will not go unanswered. Emma's fans want her to remain the same character we have grown to love over the years, and to remain at the side of the team that has saved her life, and vice-versa.

Marvel, we are the ones who buy your comics! We are the ones who pay your salaries so it should be US who you listen to, NOT your writers! If it wasn't for us, you'd have no X-titles so listen to us this one time...

Despite what Joss Whedon obviously wants...KEEP EMMA FROST A HERO AT THE SIDE OF THE X-MEN!
