A piece of news reads: a patients left kidney lost its function, but an irresponsible and muddle-headed physician removed the patients right kidney! On December 11, 2007, a commercial Carrier transported a container to us, and in it are finished granite products for construction. In front of the driver the container is opened with appalling discovery: valuable goods are broken and damaged, scattering around (please refer to photos). With further detailed inspection, we found newly cut marks and traces on the truck-tires (please refer to photos). The calculated loss amounts to $6295.72. We contacted the Carrier numerous times but were mostly ignored.

Running out of choice, we had to appeal to South San Francisco Small Claims Court, with Case No. SCN-109748, scheduled to open session at 1:30PM on March 3, 2008, and the Presiding Judges name is Joseph Allen. At the court, representatives from the Carrier told the Judge, we had an agreement with our clients that the maximum compensation for damaged goods is $50. Judge asked me, is there such an agreement? I replied, not at all. The Judge said, its ridiculous to compensate up to only $50 for a truck-load of damaged goods?! You shall receive a verdict in three weeks.

I was anxiously expecting the judgment. Three weeks went by without any news. Another week passed, I telephoned the court on inquiry, and the other end of the line replied, not three weeks, but in three months, you shall hear from us. In early May, I received the verdict: the Judge unexpectedly decides that the Carrier only compensates for $50 plus $85 as court processing fee! In this case has the Judge made the same mistake as the Physician mentioned above? Or is there another reason for this decision? My case has been closed (since no appeal is allowed after first judgment is delivered for Small Claims Court).

Every online friend here is a tax-payer. The Judge is paid salary out of tax-payers money but makes such absurd judgments. Next Small Claim victim could be you, your friend, your brother/sister, your parents, your neighbor, your classmate, your teacher, or your student, and so onPlease if you still want justice, endorse here with me to request the San Francisco Mayor to dismiss Judge Joseph Allen from his post, in a hope to maintain justice and fairness in this world, to make our society more stable and harmonic!
