The Halo video game series by Bungie Studios and Microsoft game studios is a popular platform for making videos. Making videos in Games is called machinima.





Making machinima in Halo 2 and Halo 3 are two completely different experiences. Halo 2 had to be filmed using a glitch, and people could do voiceovers on Xbox live.





In halo 3, It is completely different, and mostly only people who have good editing skills and proper resources can film. Instead of getting your friends on Xbox live to help you, you have to either have 4 people on screen at one time, buy another Xbox 360, or have another friend get their Xbox 360, bring it over to your house, film on system link, until they have to leave. Also, in order to have some armor permutations on characters, all the profiles you use must have the proper achievements, some of which require online play, so you'd have to purchase Xbox live for those profiles and win the achievements. Making serious machinima in Halo 3 is very tedious and most of these obstacles can be worked around by integrating a button combo to lower you weapon in CUSTOM games ONLY, not matchmaking, only Custom games and Forge, In Halo 3. It would also help to have a simpler combo. This is the least we ask for, as a whole, us machinima producers, simply wish to have Weapon Lowering in halo 3, so we can start filming with our online friends again.
