We are requesting that you take steps to eliminate the proposed construction of the Northshore Road project in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This expensive and unnecessary waste of taxpayer money is an environmental boondogle that will despoil the largest tract of roadless land in the Eastern United States. The purpose of the National Park System is to protect, not develop these pristine areas and as a voting public we request that our voices be heard on this issue.
