Against Alcohol In Grand Hyatt ضد الخمور في جراند حياة

قرر السيد عبد العزيز البراهيم صاحب فندق جراند حياة بالقاهرة أن يمنع تناول الخمور في فندقه. وقد تفاجئنا بتصريحات وزارة السياحة وهيئة الفنادق المصرية بتهديد صاحب الفندق وإدارته بالنزول لنجمتين بدلا من خمسة نجوم بسبب قراره الأخير. وحيث أن:
1- قرار إدارة الفندق موافق للدستور المصري الذي ينص على أن الشريعة الإسلامية هي المصدر الرئيسي للتشريع، وأحكام الشريعة قاطعة بالنسبة لتحريم الخمر.
2 - القرار من باب الحريات.
3-القرار يسمح لشريحة كبيرة من المتدينين بالعمل والتعامل مع تلك النوعية من الفنادق مما يزيد من الدخل القومي.

بناء عليه نطالبكم نحن الموقعون أدناه بالعدول عن تلك التصريحات والتهديد إرضاء لله وتنفيذا للدستور وإطلاقا للحريات.

Abdulaziz al-Brahim, owner of Cairo's luxury Grand Hyatt hotel decided to stop serving alcohol. We were astonished that the Ministry of Tourism and Egyptian Hotel Association declared that the hotel will be dropped down to two stars instead of five.

Based upon the facts that :
1. The decision is compatible with the Egyptian constitution which states clearly that Islamic Shari'a is the main source for legislation. Shari'a's ruling is crystal clear concerning the prohibition of any beverage that get people intoxicated, both in small and large quantities, whether it is alcohol, drugs, or something else.
2. The decision is related to personal and institutional freedoms.
3. The decision appeals to many Muslim practicing people who want to deal and work for such hotels, a matter that improve national income.

Based on the above mentioned givings, we call upon you to stop threats against the hotel management.
