'I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue Live' |
To: BBCWe, the undersigned, are all fans of the long-standing and hugely popular radio program 'I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue' (ISIHAC), produced and broadcast by the BBC on radio 4, and the World Service, since the 11th of April 1972 and chaired by Humphrey Lyttelton until his recent death. As well as featuring many notable people, ISIHAC has received numerous awards such as the Gold Sony Radio Comedy Award three times (1995, 2002, and 2004), and several others, including five 'Radio Programme of the Year' awards.
As fans of this series we greatly appreciated the re-release of several episodes in an unedited 'Live' format that allows listeners at home to hear full shows as they were originally recorded in front of an audience (two per performance) and though we fully understand that not all of the original recordings survived in this format we would like to see far more, if not all, released (At the time of writing, 2nd Sept 2009, there are only two Live CDs available).
As fans of the show we would also appreciate the release of more episodes of I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue on CD, or for download, preferably organized in a way that does not force listeners who purchase the Live format on CD to buy duplicate copies of the shows in both the edited and unedited formats (as is the case at the moment).Sincerely,
