To:  ARU

We the undersigned request that Australian Rugby's governing body (the ARU) use their vote (and veto if necessary) to select Japan and their Rugby body the JRFU as sole Hosts for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

We believe it is high time that the sport became truly global and in order to do this we need to look beyond our own short term, myopic tribal ambitions. We have already hosted the tournament in 2003 and believe it's high time the Cup went to a developing rugby nation, for the good of the sport.

Rather than concentrate on the short term financial gain of placing it in a country that has already hosted it, we ask that you look at the long term benefit that would be gained from opening up the sport to the World’s second richest nation and the most densely populated region of the planet. They have all the stadia, infrastructure, desire and ability to host the greatest World Cup to date, as they demonstrated to FIFA.

We the Australian public ask that you make this a WORLD CUP, and not just a closed club.
Make 2015 the Year of the Japanese Rugby World Cup!

Sincerely,

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
