To get Janet Jackson played frequently and fairly on all major radio outlets

This Petition is to get American and European Radio to start playing Janet Jackson. Janet Jackson is an Icon, and after 25 years of success in the charts, Radio are failing to give Janet a fair amount of radio play to gain success with her current projects. Janet fans request Janet's new music everyday, but are ignored constantly by major radio stations.

Janet was blacklisted by MTV and radio after the Superbowl incident 4 years ago. MTV have reluctantly got back to supporting Janet, but Radio still ignores Janet's music.

There is no excuse for this foul treatment. Janet Jackson’s new music is thoroughly enjoyable and much better than some of the stuff that is played. Her new album Discipline got to number 1 in the United States, and her last two albums both shipped Platinum, debuting at number 2. We, the undersigned, think it is disgusting that despite everything that Janet has achieved, radio to this day still manages to write her off like she is some sort of ordinary act. No, she is not another typical ordinary act. Janet Jackson was MTV’s first Icon. She has had all of her movies debut at #1 on the box office in the USA. She has had countless singles storming the charts all over the world. She has proved time and time again why she isn’t just her brother’s shadow and you know what I’m talking about. Janet is A LEGEND, AN ICON!!!
With a career spanning over two and a half decades it is totally and utterly disgusting that radio is treating her in this way (with no valid reason). She is an inspiration to many of the gimmick artists that you chose to play on your stations and an inspiration to billions of people on this planet. There’s no doubt that even you were bopping your head to All For You, Together Again or What Have You Done For Me Lately.

We are urging all major radio stations, all smaller radio stations to start treating Janet fairly and equally. Play her new songs, and let people know Janet is back.
It is totally not fair how a majority of major radio outlets are completely ignoring the legend that is Janet.
