Dear Judge Takasugi,

By my electronic signature to this petition, I do hereby appeal to Judge Robert Takasugi to overturn the conviction and grant a new trial to Mr. James I Neusom. I believe Mr. Neusom, is completely innocent of social security fraud.

It is my understanding that evidence to prove Mr. Neusom’s innocence was not allowed due to improper legal representation. No evidence was ever presented of Jim Neusom forging any signatures, filing any false reports or taking any actions to perpetuate a fraud against the Social Security Administration. Clearly there was no criminal intent.

Obviously, due to inept record keeping by the Social Security Administration; an overly zealous federal investigator; and a prosecutorial rush to judgment; a serious miscarriage of justice has been committed against Mr. Neusom. If the jury had been allowed to review the bank records validating Mr. Neusom’s testimony, there is reason to believe that the outcome might have been quite different. The evidence presented against him was circumstantial at best; full of errors, and containing many misstatements of facts.

Jim Neusom has a long history of community service and volunteer work. He has truly been a blessing to our society. He has worked diligently in his church and community. He has served his country honorably in the military and has never been convicted of a crime in his life.

He has always presented himself as a Christian first, family man second, and a leader in our online community. He has worked hard to achieve a national reputation as an expert in his field and an example to others. Jim Neusom is of more value to our community continuing in his good works than being just another statistic in the criminal justice system.

I implore you to show mercy and wisdom. Please clear his name by overturning his conviction and granting him a new trial.
