Jaki's Law Hold both parents responsible

Why are custodial and non-custodial parents not held to the same standards when it comes to caring for their children. Why is the parent who stays and raises their children the only one held responsible. Today in America it is way to easy to make babies and walk away. If the custodial parent fails to provide food, clothing, and housing for their child the courts in this great country step in, take our children and put us in jail for neglect, some parents never get their children back, and these children become forever lost in the foster care system. However if the non-custodial parent fails to pay child support more often then not the states and government refuse to help or offer almost nothing at all. Is this not a form of abuse and neglect? aren't they too failing to provide their children with food clothes and housing? Right now it is easier to walk away. When a custodial parent does not receive child support often they are faced with 2 choices, 1. they either go into the welfare system, sometimes living in unsafe drug infested neighborhoods where they stay often raising children whom themselves end up on welfare or, 2. they must work several jobs to pay the bills and their children are left alone or raised by babysitters.Often these children end up in trouble, pregnant or on drugs due to lack of supervision. It is time to step up as a nation and help these children. Make it easier to stay and do the right thing and raise your children, stop the tax payers from paying for all these children and make the non-custodial parents ( both mothers and fathers ) out there step up and be just as responsible as the parent who is actually doing the hard part. Helping to pay the bills is by far the easiest part of being a parent. JAKI'S LAW will ensure the United Staes Government does this by charging any parent that is 10,000 dollars in arrears with child neglect and any parent who becomes 15,000 or more in arrears be charges with felony child abuse. Charging these parents with a crime just as we would the custodial parent will make may more parents take care of their responsibilitys. PLEASE HELP THE CHILDREN THEY ARE THE ONES WHO SUFFER
