WHEREAS, in Canada according to 2006 Census data 80\% of the Canadian public speaks ENGLISH or another language OTHER than french, and

WHEREAS in North America since the dawn of computing the QWERTY keyboard has remained unchanged until recently in CANADA:

WE THE UNDERSIGNED DEMAND THE DISCONTINUATION OF THE POLICY OF ONLY ALLOWING CANADIAN CONSUMERS THE OPTION OF PURCHASING *BILINGUAL* KEYBOARDS ON LAPTOP COMPUTERS.

This recently adopted policy amongst Canadian computer offerings has dictated to Canadian consumers that if they choose to buy a laptop in Canada that they must RE-LEARN how they type, or else \they} will have to live with \|characters >> that they did not intend to type in their documents!

The small left SHIFT key and the further spaced out ENTER key create (for anyone who KNOWS how to touch type on a QWERTY keyboard) a situation where it is nearly impossible to type as we have for YEARS without constant errors and difficulty.

THIS INSANITY HAS TO END! Go BACK to the way things were and offer a FRENCH version of keyboards that can be installed should someone WANT it. THE 80\% OF US IN CANADA WHO DO NOT USE THE FRENCH KEYS DO NOT WANT THIS EXTRA HASSLE!!!!

Yes, French iis an official language of Canada, but that doesn't mean we have to be forced to speak it or type it!!!
