In February 2008, a famous takeaway restaurant located in Fallowfield, Manchester was forced to reduce its opening times due to restrictions imposed upon its licence.
Kebab King has been running for 25 years and the store has never had such limits upon its opening and closing times. For the next few weeks Kebab King has been told to close a midnight and it will be at least 4 weeks before it is able to obtain a new licence to extend its opening hours to what they used to be. Administration work may mean that it could take longer for the store to regain its late night licence.
These restricted opening hours will significantly affect Kebab King's revenue as the store makes most of its money AFTER midnight, to serve the public (mostly students getting the munchies) after returning from a night out.
