KEEP SALVIA DIVINORUM LEGAL!

This petition was created in an attempt to stop the bill illegalizing the centuries old herb Salvia Divinorum from becoming a law. I read the status of the bill from the link below:

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! Salvia Divinorum contains absolutely NO illegal substances and it is NOT addicting. It has been used for centuries in shamanism, divination, healing, meditation, and the exploration of consciousness. We the people have a right to the freedom of body, the persuit of joy, and the expansion of consciousness as well as free thought. We can NOT allow Salvia Divinorum to be made illegal! Salvia Divinorum has already been made illegal in Australia and Finland. We the people think this is absurd and do NOT want it to become illegal here in the USA too. Kava Kava, St. John's Wort, and other similar herbs which provide a relaxing effect are legal so why not Salvia Divinorum? The effects of herbs may vary to an extent but they are still all natural and non-addicting therefore they can NOT and should NOT be classified as a drug or controlled substance. How many other herbs will be made illegal? This bill is completely unjust and makes absolutely no logical sense at all! It's time to put an end to this madness NOW! Thank you!
