Keep Boy George in the UK

We, The Undersigned, petition that George Alan O'Dowd (commonly known as Boy George) not be permitted a visa to enter the United States for the purposes of completing his scheduled North American tour and performing for thousands of eager fans.

We believe this will pave the path for several people to enter the US and imprison it's citizen against their wills, and therefore condemn his actions.

Because George O'Dowd has been granted unconditional bail by the Police and Courts of London regarding the current proceedings he faces in the United Kingdom, O'Dowd has been permitted to travel about the world and should be denied access to the United States, until his record is clear, without pending litigation or charges. This is especially evident as O’Dowd’s planned summer (July and August of 2008) tour and intent to reach his American fan base (which he has built over the past twenty-five years) have been jeopardized. We ask the U.S. State Department's Visa Services to forbid and deny George O'Dowd's visa to enter the United States.
