Keep Katherine Heigl on Grey's Anatomy

Grey’s Anatomy is one of the finest drama series on Television. It is one of the most highly rated shows on TV and is constantly showing up on Entertainment Weekly’s “The Chart”, which features the top 20 Television shows according to Nielsen Media Research. Even the re-runs for Grey’s show up on the list.

Grey’s constantly offers powerful storylines, zealous writing and standout performances from its ensemble cast. Its balance of romance, drama, and comedy combined with impressive writing and acting makes the show one of primetime’s elite series. Most of all the audience can easily relate to the setbacks and endeavors that each character experiences.

As previously stated, Grey’s has a remarkable ensemble cast. Among the cast is the beautiful, exceptionally talented Katherine Heigl. Katherine’s portrayal of Isobel “Izzie” Stevens-Karev is full of emotion and passion. Katherine’s notable acting allows her to flawlessly pull off any type of situation Izzie is faced with. She never lets up and in no way does she let the audience down.

Izzie’s storylines during season 4 were weak, which didn’t allow Katherine to demonstrate her magnificent talent as an actress. Whether or not Heigl was right to withdrawal herself out of an Emmy nomination doesn’t matter. The point was that the writer’s needed a wake up call.

We standby Katherine’s interest in pursuing a career in movies, not just Television. She can carry an entire film on her shoulders and is more than up to the task of being the lead actress in a movie.

If Heigl is interested in staying on as Izzie while also making movies, please allow her to. For some of us, Katherine is the only reason we continue to watch Grey’s Anatomy. It’s a shame that our favorite characters are being killed off of some of our favorite shows. For example, Desperate Housewives is monotonous now that Edie was killed off. Please, for the sake of Grey’s Anatomy, do not make the same mistake that Desperate Housewives did. Katherine is a top notch actress and none of the other characters will ever polish the halls of Seattle Grace the way Izzie does.

We want you to keep Katherine Heigl on Grey’s Anatomy (please not as a ghost)!
