We the Undersigned Feel That is Fair and Appropriate for Parent-Teacher Conferences to be held after school hours in order to allow our children as much time in school per year as possible. Furthermore we feel that it is an unusual imposition to close school during regular school hours in order to hold parent-teacher conferences. Working parents and non-working parents alike are horribly inconvenienced by this practice; and we would prefer that our children have as much time in school as possible to further their education. Please change the contract with elementary-school faculty to request that school not be closed for parent-teacher conferences, and that these conferences instead be held after the school day is over.
