Keep the YMCA/Lucansky at Oakleaf

We feel that your board has chosen a path for the Sports Programs at Oakleaf that is not inline with our stated wishes.

After holding 4 meetings and hearing the input from people of the Oakleaf Plantation area speak repeatedly to keep the YMCA running the Sports Program with John Lucansky as our Sports Director, the you essentially chose to create your own version of "the people have spoken."

You have all but decided to turn over the community's sports programs to an unprepared, unproven and even disjointed collection of athletic providers run by an unregulated bureaucracy (Oakleaf Athletic Association) as of January 1, 2009.

We urge the CDD boards to choose either the YMCA or even ASG (who has been given the Aquatics contract) both of which have stated they would utilize John Lucansky’s skills. Either action will provide a proven, time-tested and unified Sports Program for Oakleaf.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and respecting the wishes of the residents as well as surrounding area that utilize our Sports Program.
