To:  LAUSD School Board

Due to the serious nature of the situation concerning the growing crisis in local budgets, I am drafting this petition to alert the powers that may be that the current proposed cuts at the Los Angeles Unified School District can only compound our current dilemmas and will further expose a serious deficiency in our school system. The current proposed budget to eliminate several teachers and Assistant Principle positions will deprive our schools of necessary personnel and deepen are already existing challenges to educate our youth. Though I agree that performance reviews to determine the efficiency of existing teachers are needed, but eliminating for budget cutbacks is completely unacceptable, and budget realignment needs to come from other sources. We can not and must not crowd our schools, or deprive our children from receiving a proper education. I hope the school board will receive this well and understand that We Support Our Children With Our Vote. Thank you so much for your time, consideration, and most importantly your co-operation in the endeavor to improve our schools not weaken them.
