Liverpool FC Supporters Against the Current Owners |
To: George Gillett and Tom HicksDear Tom Hicks and George Gillett,
As I am sure you are aware, the Liverpool Football Club's main stakeholders, we the fans, believe that our club is not being run, or progressing as promised when you took over in March 2007. Our long awaited and much needed new stadium at Stanley Park has been delayed repeatedly. There is turmoil behind the scenes, which is frequently being aired in public. This is not the Liverpool way. We have a proud tradition of dealing with our internal issues internally. You have shown that you are not true Liverpool people by betraying this tradition time and again.
In order for Liverpool Fotball Club to compete at the highest level of international club football, it is clear that the time for your fractured alliance at the summit of Liverpool Football Club to end, and for the Club to be placed in more suitable and worthy hands. We are keen, as the true supporters of Liverpool Football Club, to see a new era in which we return to the glory days of times gone by and the ambitions of the club to be matched by that of its owners.
Mr Gillett and Mr Hicks, we urge you to leave our club.Sincerely,
