Considering that we, the undersigned, believe the best possible use for the old Lakeville fire house, located at 9/9a Sharon Road in Lakeville Connecticut, might be for WORKFORCE HOUSING, we hereby request the following:

The Salisbury Board of Selectmen remove the property from the real estate market and require the Salisbury Affordable Housing Advisory Commission to establish an impartial subcommittee for the purpose of a comprehensive study concerning the feasibility of converting said facility into WORKFORCE apartment units.

Until such time as the results of said study are made public and properly reviewed in public forums, the property shall remain in possession of the Town of Salisbury.

A Town Meeting shall make the final decision concerning the conversion to WORKFORCE apartment units after full presentation of the study results.
