Lion King Complete Score

To:  get a complete score released from Disney's, "The Lion King"

Dear Buena Vista Home Entertainment and/or Walt Disney Records,

In 1994, a brilliant masterpiece was molded from the mind of a great artist. It got high prestige for its example of amazing composition. Who can forget that old Disney original that touched the hearts of millions? Like many others, I have always loved and cherished The Lion King as my first favorite movie. As good as the movie was, the score composed by Hans Zimmer was absolutely stunning! I could never forget the chilling, majestic themes that played throughout the film. Yet, to my surprise, a score soundtrack was never released. What? How could that be? If it was Best Original Score and such, why wouldn’t it be released? There really is something wrong with this. All that the common fan can get is the, extremely cut/altered, four score pieces (literally pieces) that are on the Original Soundtrack. 16 minutes of altered score really doesn’t cut it. It is nothing short of madness that a fuller compilation of the score has not been released; especially after 14 years. Wonders of Art should not be shut out from the public. It is like if all of the beautiful paintings in the world were under black sheets in the museums but still on display. If they put drapes over Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel painting people would not be happy. Not releasing a Complete Lion King Score makes that much sense. We must unveil this “musical Mona Lisa” from the covers that have been so wrongfully thrown over it. This is why I propose that Buena Vista Home Entertainment and/or Walt Disney Records release a full Lion King Score as complete as can get. And please, this petition is for the orchestral music composed by Hans Zimmer himself, not the already released original songs (Hakuna Matata, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, etc). I believe, with a doubt, that an insurmountable sum of people will not hesitate to sign this petition once they have read it. What Hans Zimmer created was a modern classic and all classics are, or should be, rightfully owned by all who love its unrivaled brilliance. So, stop holding back on us fans and please release the best, most complete soundtrack of 1994’s Best Original Score that’s possible for Zimmer’s sake! Also, have a reasonable amount of copies produced please (No man left behind). Thank you for reading this and in the words of Rafiki, “It is Time…”
