The Lucky Petition

To:  Tennessee State Legislators

The undersigned concerned citizens are requesting that new legislation is
passed in Tennessee to finally make animal cruelty a felony offense in our
state as it already is in neighboring Georgia and Alabama.

(Animal cruelty is not only a horrific act for defenseless, innocent animals
but it is a serious crime since there is strong evidence that animal abuse,
child abuse and domestic violence are linked.) We are naming our petition
the "Lucky" petition in honor of the sweet yellow lab who was brutally
dragged bhind a pick-up truck recently in Cleveland, Tennessee. He was
rescued by David and Jenny Lynn Lockwood and is now living with a lovinng
Cleveland family thanks to this courageous, caring couple, and also to
excellent, immediate medical treatment at a local veterinary hospital where
previous healed wounds were recorded. By the way, despite what he's been
through, Lucky still loves everybody.
