MA Access Rights to All

As an adoptee I am excited about the prospect of SB 959, which would allow all children adopted in Massachusetts the same civil rights that non-adoptees have; the right to access original birth certificates. I know that a lot of people may not be effected by this law, and therefore aren't concerned, or just don't have the information available to make an informed opinion on the matter. I think that Adoptees should have the same rights as any other person who resides in Massachusetts. SB 959 corrects an intolerable injustice. Sealing original birth certificates contradicts ideals of fairness, democracy and autonomy.
