We, the undersigned and residents in the state of Missouri are in support of allowing Certified Professional Midwives to practice in our State. We believe it is a womans right to chose what kind of care she wants to receive for the birth of her children and where. Research proves home births and births delivered by midwives to be as safe as hospital and physician births. To that end, we ask our elected legislators to vote in favor of the Midwifery Bills presented in the Senate as 2007 Senate Bill 303 and House Bill 503.
