Safe Routes to Laurel School |
To: Board of supervisors of the County of San MateoDear Members of the Board of Supervisors,
As citizens of the County of San Mateo, we urge you - the Board of Supervisors of our County - to support the Safe Routes to Laurel School project adopted by the City of Menlo Park on Nov 6, 2007.
More than 400 families use Coleman Ave and Ringwood Ave as their route to Laurel School, an elementary school primarily serving ages 5-7 year old children. Surveys of the entire school population show that large percentages of parents find the roadways leading to this school unsafe. Changes to the supporting roadways must be made so we can walk and bike safely with our children. Your support is central to successfully complete the grant application process.
Sincerely,
